Itinerary

Glencoe & the Highlands in a Day takes you from Edinburgh straight into the heart of the Scottish Highlands, covering some of the country’s most iconic scenery in a single, well-paced loop.

The day begins with a stop at Doune Castle, one of Scotland’s best-preserved medieval castles, before continuing to the Highland gateway town of Callander. From here, you’ll visit Kilmahog, home to the famous Highland cows, for a close-up encounter and photo opportunity.

As you travel deeper into the Highlands, the scenery opens out across Rannoch Moor, one of the last great wildernesses in Scotland, before arriving in Glencoe. Here, you’ll take in the dramatic landscape of the Three Sisters, with time for a short walk and photos, followed by a lunch stop at the Glencoe Visitor Centre.

The return journey heads through quieter Highland scenery, stopping at Pattack Falls, a hidden woodland waterfall, and The Hermitage, where you can enjoy a short forest walk and views of the River Braan.

This tour is designed to give a broad, scenic introduction to the Highlands in one day, combining castles, wildlife, dramatic glens, waterfalls, and woodland landscapes without rushing the key stops.
